Talking on your cell phone without a headset? That's ILLEGAL!

I'm sure most of you out there practice safe driving by using a headset. And for those of you who don't....well you're gonna have to starting this July. With all the everyday distractions we encounter while driving (i.e. eating, reading, grooming ect.) we do not need to add chit-chatting on the phone or texting, regardless of how we absolutely must call our BFF to tell them about the amazing sales at the mall. And if you're under the age of 18, you cannot be on the phone AT ALL. You can read more about the new law on the DMV's website. Need a headset? We got your back here at iGoneMobile. We have both 2.5 and 3.5 mm adapters for everything from the Mogul to the iPhone. And because we care so much, we've also created adapters and headsets for the New V9 Razr 2, unavailable everywhere else! Buy your...

My wife is on a business trip and I just found out that she took our digital camera with her, so I hope this photo will do until she comes back and I can take a better one. I attempted to take a picture in front of your website [iGoneMobile's] and Judie's Gear Diary site, but I'm afraid my webcam couldn't get that into the picture. My LCD was too bright. Again, I'll take another one when my wife gets back at the...

Juice Up Your Samsung i760 In Style

The popular Samsung i760 made it's debut this past November to be exclusively provided by Verizon. The new model is a cool PDA smart phone that's a little bit tinier than it's competition HTC 8925 Tilt. The i760 is a touch screen and a slider where you reveal a full QWERTY keyboard that's much more user friendly (for those who may have fingers that are a bigger) such as Treo 755, for example. What's cooler than a touch screen and QWERTY keyboard? Cool accesories for your phone! Since the i760 comes with both a standard and extended battery, iGoneMobile has designed a brand new cradle just for you. While the phone slot only charges the phone with the standard battery in place, your extended battery can conveniently be charged in the other slot. Effortlessly charge and sync at the same time. Feature Upgrade on the HTC Mogul PPC6800 Dual Desktop Cradle

Most of the Dual Desktop Cradles you see on our site specify that the USB is meant to charge the phone only and that the AC Adapter is used to charge the extra battery only. Now on up coming models of the Dual Desktop Cradle, the AC Adapter is able to charge both the phone AND extra battery. This means that you could use the USB cable to charge your phone but if you wanted to charge both the phone and extra battery you can just plug it into an outlet away from a computer. The USB cable would still be needed to sync the phone of course. This new convenient feature means that you are able to use the Dual Desktop Cradle pretty much anywhere that has an outlet. You will no longer be bound by a computer unless you need to sync your phone. Good news to HTC...

In With The New iPods Out With The Old Accessories?

Apple has recently launched a new iPod line up. Sleeker slimmer models with beefed up memory and upgraded features are what these bad boys are stacked with. How does this affect the original iPod accessories? We have confirmed that the new iPods as well as the iPhone are compatible with the existing original 30 pin connector chargers and USB cable. Unlike the iPhone, the new iPod Touch, Nano 3rd generation, and Classic do not have a recessed headset port. That means if you have headsets from an older model you don't have to worry about buying a new pair or getting an adapter to make them fit. As for the AV cable, rumor has it that the video out function is locked on the new iPods and that they will only work with cables featuring Apple's authentication chip. We'll keep you up to date on whether this is true or...

Nokia 6555 Using Micro USB Connector Like RAZR2

Wow this must be the first. Nokia 6555 from AT&T is using the new micro USB connector for charging and data transfers. Nokia has been using a single pin connector for the last few years and now introduced the first 6500 series models that use Micro USB just like Motorola RAZR2 V8 V9 Q9m. Will this be the first in upcoming changes for the major phone manufacturers to standardized on a industry connector? Why can't they come up with a standard like HDMI for AV industry and have all cell phone manufacturers like Samsung, LG, Motorola, Nokia adopt it? This will make every phone users life's easier and will be heaven for cell phone accessories manufacturers which will only have to make one type of charger to fit all phones in the world. I dream of that day....

iPhone Recessed 3.5mm Port Issue Sloved

Ever since iPhone came out users have been complaining about the design of the 3.5mm headset jack where any standard 3.5mm jack will not fit into the recessed port. So much for trying to plug your new iPhone toy into your car aux port to listen to your MP3 or Podcast. The iPhone is definitely a unique phone. So it's not surprising that the iPhone requires some unique accessories. Rather than have a standard 3.5mm port like most devices, Apple has decided to make the iPhone's headset port a "recessed" 3.5mm port. This means that your standard 3.5mm headsets and cables will not fit because it won't reach in deep enough. With that in mind, we have developed a few things to help solve your iPhone recessed port woes. All these items are specially designed and tested to fit into your iPhone The Retractable Auxiliary Cable fits into the iPhone's...
