While everyone else was following the Mini USB trend, Nokia stayed true to the pin type. Not anymore. Nokia has finally decided to update their chargers which means no more pin type chargers! Nokia's new models 6555 (like Motorola's) will be featuring the Micro USB ports and chargers.
Rumor has it that these new Micro USB ports will also function as not only a charger port but also a port for headsets and data cables. Could this possibly be a step to satisfy the never ending quest for a minimalist design?
For whatever the reason, look forward to seeing this on new Nokia models. Motorola's already using them and but of course, you can find them here.

So you've got your accessories from your old RAZR and think you're all set with your new RAZR2 V9m....well think again! The new phones being rolled out by Motorola no longer use the industry standard mini USB port. Instead, the new trend on these new models are the micro USB ports. Similar to a mini USB but smaller as seen in this picture from MobileBurn.com

It seems like this new interface will become the new standard on most upcoming mobile phones. Don't worry we've got you covered. Three new micro USB accessories will soon be available here at iGoneMobile.com for the RAZR2 V8 V9 V9m as well as the Q9m. In the meantime, they are available on Pre-Order status.
The micro USB Car Charger and the Travel Charger for the Motorola RAZR2 V8 V9 V9m Q9m both come equipt with a Dynamic IC Chip which recognizes a full charge and switches to save mode to protect your phone.
The micro USB Data Cable features a 2-in-1 deal so it charges your phone and allows you to sync your data at the same time.

We've added some new essential accessories to the Sprint Mogul PPC-6800 line up to help you unleash your inner CEO.
The new line of Executive Pro Leather Cases for the Sprint Mogul PPC-6800 include the Executive Screen Pro Leather Case and the Executive Leather Wallet Case. Both cases come in protective mesh cover inside a black gift box which is a nice perk. Another great feature on these cases is that you don't have to remove them as all to utilize the slide out qwerty keyboard. The Screen Pro case has the usual features like a removable swivel belt clip but it exclusively features a custom screen cover that snaps on and off to protect your Mogul's screen and prevents it from uncessarily sliding out. Though the Wallet Case does not have a belt clip it is definitely convenient for those constantly on the go with its card compartments and memory card holder.
Adding on to the convenience is the 3 in 1 Stylus Pen for the Mogul. Not only is it a stylus but also a reset pin and writing pen. This stylus is made specifically for the Mogul so it fits right into the Mogul's stylus holder.
We all know how important power is which is why we came up with a couple options. The Li-Ion Extended Battery w/ Door for the Mogul lasts longer than a standard size battery and is also able to fit in the battery slot of a Mogul Dual Charger Cradle. We also have a Standard Size Battery Replacement which works just as good as the original.
The Apple iPhone battery is something that few have ever seen. Possibly because you can't just open up an iPhone and pop in a new battery but the new iGoneMobile.com Do It Yourself Battery Replacement Kit for the Apple iPhone makes it possible.
The kit comes equipped with all the tools and instructions you need to successfully replace an iPhone battery with a new one. There is a mini-screw driver and a unique tool known as the opener tool. The replacement battery has the same capacity as the original battery which is 3.7v and 1400mAh.
So stay powered up and take charge of your Apple iPhone battery with the iGoneMobile.com Apple iPhone Do It Yourself Battery Replacement Kit. Save yourself the hassle of sending in your iPhone for a new battery when you can do it yourself.
UniPro Cases are the new line of universal cases available for all sizes of cell phones and PDA's available at iGoneMobile.com. Unilike the usual universal case, these cases feature an anti-theft belt loop. Though the cases also feature a swivel belt clip, the anti-theft belt loop fastens the case securely onto a belt or bag by snapping into place so that it won't fall off or get snatched off so easily. The UniPro cases are made from a durable material that is soft to the touch and looks great too. They aren't bulky at all and some sizes are even able to accomodate phones that have plastic snap shell cases or silicone cases.
From RAZRs, KRZRs, Treo's, BlackBerry's, and even Sidekicks too, there is a UniPro Horizontal Pouch Case to fit all types and sizes of cell phones.
The latest additions to the new Samsung accessory lines are here and they're capable of bringing more than just music to your ears.
New models such as Sprint's M300 M510 M520, T-Mobile's T409 T729 Blast, Alltel's Hue R500, and AT&T's A117 feature Samsung's new proprietary port. Rather than have a seperate headset port on the phone, these models utilize the charger port for headsets as well.
Hands free is the way to be.
The MP3 Dual Real Stereo Headset for Samsung features dual earbuds for your listening pleasure which is great for drowning out unwanted noise. The mic on the headset also features an answer/end call button which is convenient.
The 2.5mm Headset Adapter for Samsung is great because it plugs directly into your phone and allows you to use any headset you like as long as it has a 2.5mm pin.
The 3.5mm Headset Adapter for Samsung really will bring music to your ears. Like the 2.5mm adapter this one will take headsets as long as they're 3.5mm. Why limit your listening pleasure to your ears alone when you can enjoy it in full stereo for everyone to hear. This stereo link headset adapter cable jack lets you listen to MP3 in your car through the build in aux port or home stereo receiver. The 3.5mm adapter converts the proprietary port on your phone to a industry standard 3.5mm female port.

Rumors, rumors, rumors. Here we go with more iPhone rumors! Did you hear about Nintendo and Apple combining forces to make Mario and maybe even Link appear in your iPhone? Here a few information that we gathered:
-The touch-based Nintendo DS games will be a match made in heaven with the multi touch-based Apple iPhone.
-The targeted audience for the Nintendo games for the iPhone will be for the older audience, such as the Brain Age game for the DS.
-The Nintendo games are set to be priced at $29.
-Date of availability? Not sure.
Can't wait? There is an iPhone NES Emulator third party application available for those that already received the necessary hacks. This is based on the open-sourced portable NES emulator InfoNES. For those who tried it, they complained of Mario's delayed reaction to killing the Goombas. Mario does kill 'em though, but there's no sound output at all and the remote sucks.
Whether or not Apple will release their own Nintendo games, we're not sure. Maybe a third party NES emulator will become better. Either way, we'll keep you posted.
Ready to start a new day with your beloved iPod. So you grab the iPod with the full body screen protector shield that protects it from scratches. Then you throw it in your foam protected bag that protects it from falling. Then you think smugly "Yeah, I'm protected. There's nothing that can possibly go wrong with my iPod." Except...you left the screen unlocked and you've unknownlingly been pressing all the possible buttons on your iPod. You try to press all the buttons and nothing happens. You start crying and frantically yell, "What do I do now?!"
Does this sound like you?
Brrrr. It's cold in here. You've been hit with the case of the frozen iPod, or as we like to call it, the dreaded "FroziPod!" It creeps out of nowhere and usually happens when you're pressing too many buttons or you may need to update your iTunes software. After you've made sure that it's not happening because of the hold button at the top, try these solutions:
1. Click Wheel iPods (Fifth Gen iPod Video, iPod Nano (1st and 2nd Gen), iPod photo, iPod mini (1st and 2nd gen), iPod click wheel):
-Toggle the Hold switch on and off.
-Simultaneously press and hold the Menu and Center until the Apple icon appears.
2. Scroll Wheel, Touch Wheel, and Dock Connector (older generations):
-Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons together until the Apple appears
The Apple logo should appear for about 6 to 10 seconds and you can repeat the steps if necessary. Still doesn't work? You can try plugging in your iPod to a wall charger or the computer. Worried about losing your "Jammin' in the Gym" playlist? Don't worry, Apple guarantees it will still all be there, except some customized setting.
If your iPod dies before you can reset, there's the longer and more painful version: you can try to run your batteries out. This will force the reboot and you will be able to recharge it again, then you're good to go.
Any more iPod woes you need help on? Ask us and we'll do the research for you.
The new Motorola RAZR2 models like the V8 V9 V9m is so thin that a new USB port connector has been designed to accommodate the thin sculpted shell. Called "Micro USB", it will be used to connect to other peripherals like chargers, headset USB sync, etc.
That means a whole new line of accessories will be developed to support the new RAZR2. Rumor has it Motorola will start using the new "Micro USB" connectors for all future phone models. That means bye bye to the current "Mini USB" connectors used on majority of Motorola models like RAZR, KRZR, SLVR, U6, etc. Blackbery PDA and Nextel models will probably still use the current mini USB configuration.
So if you are the lucky ones to get the new RAZR2 models which will be released in Q3 2007 don't think you are so lucky. Getting the new RAZR2 models means you have to get a whole new set of accessories to support it. Your current RAZR V3 accessories will not work except for bluetooth of course which follows industry standards.
But hey, the new RAZR2 models are so good looking I am thinking of trading in my Apple iPhone for it. The RAZR2 V9 is set to be realeased for 3G networks carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile but don't worry if you have Verizon, Sprint, or Alltel a CDMA version known as the RAZR2 V9m is set to be realeased as well. V8 is already released in GSM Asia markets.
Industry changes:
The major players like Motorola, Samsung, LG are known to redesign their phone's proprietary ports every 1-2 years. Just recently Samsung release new models (m300, m510, m520, T409, R500) that has a new port for chargers, headset and USB connectivity. Nokia has been using their pin out connector for the last 4-5 years. Sony Ericsson hasn't changed along with Palm or Audiovox.
Good news?
Well we are already in development to create a new line of accessories for the new RAZR2 like dual stereo headsets, mono earbud headsets, 3.5mm adapters so you can connect it to your car aux or stereo receiver, 2.5mm adapters so you can use it on your old favorite 2.5mm industry standard headsets, USB cable to charge and sync MP3 and files. Of course other accessories for RAZR2 will include the typical belt clip holsters, leather cases, skin cases, shell cases, premium cases.
Look for the new accessories supporting Motorola RAZR2 models at iGoneMobile.com. In the mean time you can look at the picture below of the new "Micro USB" connector for Motorola RAZR2 models. Thinner and flatter than the mini USB. Hmm....Looks like a HDMI connector but it's not.

What is HDMI?
HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is the newest interface for audiovisual equipment such as high-definition television and home theater systems. With 19 wires wrapped in a single cable that resembles a USB wire, HDMI is able to carry a bandwidth of 5 Gbps (gigabits per second). This is more than twice the bandwidth needed to transmit multi-channel audio and video, future-proofing HDMI for some time to come. This and several other factors make HDMI much more desirable than its predecessors, component video, S-Video and composite video.
HDMI is an uncompressed, all-digital signal, while the aforementioned interfaces are all analog. With an analog interface, a clean digital source is translated into less precise analog, sent to the television, then converted back to a digital signal to display on screen. At each translation, the digital signal loses integrity, resulting in some distortion of picture quality. HDMI preserves the source signal, eliminating analog conversion to deliver the sharpest, richest picture possible.
Why do I need it?
Well, everything is going digital nowadays include new gaming systems like Wii and PS3. All those plasma, LCD, DLP HDTV you see at your favorite electronics store all have HDMI inputs and highly recommend you to use it. HDMI cables provides a one cable solution to transfer high quality digital video and audio. No need to color match those red, white yellow cables anyone!
I wonder what is next? Wireless HD signal transfer through satellite? Like we do not have enough frequencies running through our everyday life...geez
Notes for thought:
HDMI cables cannot go over 30ft without a HDMI repeater to boost signal. Regular home theather users like I usually stick with 6ft so no worries.
Techincal Note:
Our HDMI cables have alot of techincal specs but here are some to highlight and important.
Supports all HDMI Devices, including 1.3
Supports Resolutions up to 1080P
99.997% pure copper wires, 24k gold plated conductor to provide optimum
signal transfer. Triple-layer shielding rejects interference for the best EMI effect.
Conforms to HDMI 1.3 specification and is compatible with all HDMI devices
