I hope this pc studio will help.

MJ:

I can access my files on my phone through PC Studio 3.2, but if i try to 'Managa contacts and more' it pops up a message "AT.SETTINGS.exe has stopped working".

I don't have Microsoft Outlook, but Microsoft Windows mail (Vista), but am i not suppose to just view my contacts and drag it into Samsung PC Studio without sync with Mail application?

Mike Tooke:

PC Studio 3.2.0 does work with Vista (Hom Premium 32 bit). I have a D900. All data transfers seem to work ok, however...

Synchronisation with Outlook is iffy. I find that there is a tendency for appointments to convert into recurring appointments. This may be a fault in Outlook which is, frankly, running like a dog (2x32 processors, 1Gb memory) and unuseable at present.

My other option is to synchronise with Windows Calendar / Windows Contacts. However Samsung don't seem to have realised that Outlook Express no longer exists as such. So PC Studio tries to find Outlook Express - and fails. If you try to install Outlook Express then Vista tells you it is an 'older version' - presumably regarding Windows Mail as being the 'newer version'.

The overall result is that whilst my Samsung D900 will talk to my Vista computer - I have no practical way of keeping contacts and calendar in step on the PC as Outlook is useless and PC Studio doesn't support Vista Mail / Calendar / Contacts....

Do please let me know if anyone has any bright ideas !

Mike
