What can I do with Motorola Phone Tools?
With Motorola Phone Tools, you can share the information contained in your mobile phone with your computer. Once your mobile phone is connected to your computer, the following operations can be easily processed:
• Place and receive calls.
• Send and receive e-mails and SMS.
• Synchronize your phonebooks and calendars.
• Load, create and modify ringtones for your mobile phone.
• Launch a GPRS session...

You can download MPT 4.0 from our forums.

Which cell phone models are supported with Motorola Phone Tools?
Of course only Motorola cell phones are supported. Virtually all Motorola phones are supported including other brands like Nextel and Blackberry. If the software does not detect your phone model then if you try to download and update the phone list. See screen shoot below. It also have drivers to communicate with your computer too. Some common recent models supported are:
Motorola RAZR V3 (including all the different V3c, i, r, xx, x that all national provideds support)

Does Motorola Phone Tools 4.0 support Windows Vista?
We don't think so. Only tried it on Windows XP for now. Anyone else care to comment?

i tried downloading it and about halfway through the installation it ask to insert a disk to find a file ...do you have a any idea why this is happening?

I downloaded this driver, but when I try to install, it keeps looking for a folder called "Addons" and won't proceed without it.

Ed:

The first download I installed took about 3 minutes. When I tried to install I was asked for certain files. I then went to another download site and installed a download which took about 13 minutes. This one while installing the program showed 6 icons and a brief description of each feature.The download was almost complete when I was asked for the file PkbInstall.dll. I ignored the request and continued installation. Then when trying to run the program, It read "GRCONV.dll not found."

During install it fails to load pbkInstall.dll, then when trying to run MPT, it fails to load GRCONV.dll. Have uninstalled and re-installed and the same thing. Any suggestions/help?

Yes the problem was that we tried to shrink the file size to a minimal level to download. But looks like it caused problems. We have included a full zip download but only available through special request due to the size of the file and to avoid bandwidth spam. The file size is 550MB.

Try using the live update. It should support majority of Motorola phone. KRZR K1 is a pretty recent phone.

I have tried to load ring tones to the Motrola V365 phone and each time when I insert the cable the phone is shown and then once I try to transfer files it pops up and says the phone has broken the connection. WHy is this and how do I correct it. I don't have this problem with a Razor and V3 I also use. Only on this cell phone. I did download the latest driver and it found the phone but that's it.

Any thoughts?
