For members who has downloaded the Motorola Phone Tools 4.0 Software you may post your result or issues in this topic. Please do not post replies asking for link to this software download because members are free to download it from the "Software Downloads" forum which you can find on the forums home page.

Here are some tips and notes you should know when trying to get content in and out of your phone to your computer. First you need drivers to so your phone can talk to your computer (PC or Mac). Depending on your OS (Operating System) the drivers you got may or may not work because that's the software is. Always changing. Second you'll need the right software to start transfering content from phone to computer. Not all software will work because it cannot keep up with all the newer phone models coming out in the market. Cell phone hardware is always changing along with computer OS. Live update feature may help get the latest software release version but it is still a chance.

Even if you reach this far there is a chance the features you are looking for are not available for your phone model. Common feature users try to do are transferring pictures, MP3, contacts, files between phone and computer. Just because the software say it has all the features you are looking for you are bounded by your provider hardware which is your phone. For 95% of phone users we all get it from the big national cell phone carriers like AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Alltel etc. These providers offer you locked phones which sometimes they request certain features be turned from from manufacturers. Features like MP3 or file transfer requires you to use their paid services and products. Unlocked phones may have better luck.

All said and done we are here to help as much as possible by providing as much information as we can. We can't support and answer all replies but maybe other members can help.

Hi, Thanks for the link.
I'm using MOTO ROKR E6.
I have to install MPT and have to check whether it is working or not.
I have the CD which came along with the Phone. But when i try to install in my pc it says GRCONV.dll not found.

Any suggestions on how to avoid the above said error.

Did you get the latest MPT 4.0 from the "Software Downloads" forum on the home page? Try that. Also are you using Windows XP or Vista? I heard they are problems with Windows Vista.

That depends on the MPT 4.0 software. I think what you are looking for is possible.
