A: Hello, Unfortunately you may need to get another device so that you may change the song with out using the controls on the ipod.

Q: If this is plugged into your car and is being used, does it drain the battery or does it charge it at the same time. A: This cable is 3.5mm to 3.5mm. This will not work with the Pearl, because it only has a 2.5mm jack.

A: A majority of new vehicles come equipped with a 2.5mm auxiliary jack. If you are seeking a cable with a red and white link we do have one that is about 5 ft. long. A: The W810i does not have a 3.5mm port on it. This auxiliary cable would not work with that model.

A: They provide similar sound quality. The only difference between the two is that the 3.5 to 30 pin connector fits on pretty much all iPods except the Shuffle Gen. 1 and 2. The good thing about the 3.5 to 3.5 is that it works with all iPods and you can connect it to other things besides an iPod like a cell phone.

A: We apologize for the confusion the first question was actually answered incorrectly. This auxiliary cable is definitely compatible with both the 1st and 2nd generation iPod Shuffle and pretty much all iPods and anything with a 3.5mm port.

A: Sorry for the confusing. All iPods including Shuffle 1 and Shuffle 2 has a 3.5mm female adapter for music output. This sku will work for both. We found out after we made the first question posting.
