  A: It isn't an OEM product but it's similar in color and finish. It does have a blackberry logo but it is black and not silver like the original battery cover.

• Q: Actually, the battery is based on the "blacklight" function you have.. I used to have "blacklight" always on, and display time of 2 minutes and it will run out in about 1 day... now I have the "blacklight" (auto-adjust) off, and run about 20 seconds time, and it can last for 2-3 days, even with emailing, checking internet, playing games.. I think that is the feature that most people miss.. Your battery is good that it allows 25% boost in energy, but of course 2400mAh (+71%) is much better.. with 2400mAh, that will last one whole week without needing to charge =) - Name: - 7/25/2007 3:31:00 PM

  A: That depends on consumer demand and product development. It may not be technically possible to put that much mAh on the battery. Are the Blackberry 8830 draining battery life faster? It seems like that base on customer feedback.

  A: The standard CX-2 battery is only 950mAh compare to this extended version which is 1800mAh.

  A: Yes this fits for Sprint Blackberry 88300 Curve as well. This is an aftermarket extended battery with a custom door.

  A: Yes this battery is "fatter" and is known as an extended battery because it sounds more flattering than calling it fatter. Yes this will fit in the RIM BlackBerry 8830 for Verizon. As for fitting in a case or holster, since the battery is fatter it will stick out a bit more and will not work with a standard size case. We do not have the silver door plates in stock yet but check back soon.
